Terms of Use

Definitions

• Player - any visitor who browses the catalogue, votes or writes reviews.
• Server owner - a person who represents a private server or project and manages its listing.
• Listing - a page describing a server launch: name, chronicle, rates, opening date, features and website link.
• Project - a group of listings belonging to the same team; the project page collects its launch history, votes and reviews.

Accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• One person - one account. Duplicate accounts created to vote, review or promote a project are removed together with their activity.
• Keep your credentials secure. Everything done from your account is treated as done by you until you report a compromise.
• You can request deletion of your account at any time by emailing us from the address linked to it.

Adding and verifying servers

Listing a server is free. Server owners agree that:

• Information in the listing (chronicle, rates, opening date, features, website) is accurate and is updated when it changes.
• They have the right to represent the server and to use the name, logo and description they submit.
• Ownership may be confirmed through automatic verification (meta tag, DNS TXT record or file on the server website) or manually by our team.
• We moderate every listing before publication and may edit, reject or remove a listing that is inaccurate, duplicated, misleading or violates these terms.
• Servers that no longer have an active launch may be moved to the archive; the project page and its history remain available.

Reviews and votes

• Write about your own experience. Reviews must not contain insults, threats, discrimination, spam, advertising of other servers or personal data of third parties.
• One vote per player within the voting period. Votes from bots, proxies, rewarded votes and vote exchanges are removed and may lead to a project being excluded from the rating.
• Server owners may publicly reply to reviews but may not pressure players to delete them.
• We may hide or delete content that breaks these rules and may restrict accounts that repeatedly break them.

Paid promotion

• Server owners may buy promotional placements (highlighted positions, banners). Prices and duration are shown before purchase.
• Payments are processed by an external provider. A placement starts once the payment is confirmed.
• Promotion never changes votes or reviews. Paid positions are marked as such.
• Fees are non-refundable once a placement has started, except when we fail to deliver it for reasons on our side; in that case we extend the placement or refund the unused period.
• We may cancel a promotion for a listing that violates these terms; no refund is due in that case.
• Banner and other creatives you upload must be your own or licensed. Official Lineage II promotional art, screenshots and character assets may not be used in paid placements.

Prohibited actions

• Automated mass downloading of the catalogue beyond what the public API and sitemap allow, or interfering with the operation of the site.
• Attempts to gain unauthorised access, bypass security or verification, or exploit vulnerabilities.
• Publishing malware, phishing links or content that infringes third-party rights.
• Impersonating another person, project or the L2Links team.

Content and intellectual property

The catalogue structure, texts written by our team, design and code belong to L2Links. You may link to any page and quote short excerpts with attribution.

By submitting content (descriptions, logos, reviews) you keep your rights to it and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, translate and cache it as part of the site for as long as it is published.

You warrant that submitted listings, logos and advertising creatives do not infringe third-party copyrights or trademarks, including NCSOFT and Lineage II assets. We may refuse or remove material that appears to infringe.

Third-party servers and links

L2Links does not operate game servers and does not participate in their payments, rules or support. Listings link to external websites run by their owners. We are not responsible for their content, availability, in-game economy or the fulfilment of promises made in announcements.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is”. We work to keep the data accurate and the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or the correctness of information submitted by server owners.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to the site is limited to the amount you paid us for promotion in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the site at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, and remove listings or content connected with them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always published on this page with its date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new version.
